What we offer
TREVOR: - Counselling:- I offer one-to-one counselling sessions, where you decide what it is that you want to talk about. There are no 'taboo' subjects, which means that whatever you want to explore we can do so. I have a lot of experience working with young people and also people who have been troubled by drug or alcohol use, and I use a variety of techniques, apart from just talking, to help you explore your problems and concerns. I usually meet clients at the New Directions counselling room in central Warminster, although I can make arrangements to meet you in your home if that is appropriate. As a member of NCIP and AP I work to the NCIP and AP ethical guidelines, which means that the content of our sessions will be kept confidential - I can explain more about this when we first meet.
I also offer supervision to counsellors and various training options, so for more details of those see the appropriate sub-pages from the menu bar.
Glenys: As a qualified social worker, manager and social work practice teacher, with extensive experience of Local Authority working as well as running organisations in the Third Sector, I am able to offer supervision, support and mentoring to both organisations and individuals.
If you as an individual want to develop your professional or management skills through mentoring or practice discussion meetings, we could have an initial one hour session - which would be free - to see if we could work together, on what terms, and how I could support your development. Mentoring sessions cost £25-£50 per hour depending on the nature and level of support required.
I also offer support in the form of one-to-one and group mentoring, evaluation, training and business development to organisations; see the employee and organisational assistance programme links above.
Warminster: We have a counselling/supervision room in Warminster, which is in a summerhouse in our garden. There is a step up to this, so it is not fully accesible for wheelchair users. Unfortunately there are no toilet facilities available to clients at this venue, although public toilets are available nearby, at the Warminster Town Park, at Morrisons Supermarket, and in the Town Centre. If you have accessibility needs, please let us know as we can arrange to come to you, or to use an accessible room in the town centre. Alternatively, we can meet you online, using platforms such as Zoom, Teams, Google Meets or Skype.
